I am not a mother right now, but I do not think you need to be one to fully enjoy this book. In fact, just from reading the first impression I was able to relate some of the behaviours and comments from the kids to my boyfriend. The book cover shows just how fun the book is and I can not wait to read it (after reading the first few books in the series).
