Ellen has been mummy, wife, mother, cook, cleaner and bottle washer for as long as she can remember and now as a single divorcee with Jane's impending departure far closer than the horizon, she's a bit lost!

This latest chapter in the lives of Ellen and her family takes you on the rollercoaster of driving tests, A levels, take-overs, family life and negotiating the murky waters of dating in your forties!

Poor Ellen, once again is feeling unappreciated and feeling that uphill battle as she faces her husband's perfect girlfriend, her children's summer exams and the looming takeover of her employer is all starting to feel a bit much!

Once again Gill Sims sweeps us through all the tumultuous twists and turns of Ellen's life with aplomb, delivering everything from full on sympathy cringing to laugh out loud moments...that always worry my husband!

And if you haven't reached the joy of (near) teenage progeny, or haven't quite breached the joys of parenthood, there is something for everyone with Ellen's poor best friend Hannah and her demon toddler. Let's just say 24 hours with Ellen, Sudocrem, dogs and carpets make for a rip-roaring read!

There isn't anything shocking or wildly out of the box in this read, but it is fun, with some very amusing twists and turns along the way before it brings this series to an end.

Another great and fun read, and I hope this isn't the last of Ellen!
