Once again Gill Sims has written a hugely funny book about motherhood and the life of a single parent. Why Mummy's Sloshed is the perfect light-hearted book for parents and non-parents. Even if you've never experienced life as a parent you'll have heard similar stories from your friends, mostly btrying to to laugh as they describe their children's latest exploits. In this latest book about the life of this family Jane and Peter are teenagers about to sit exams, Jane is taking her driving test and their mother, Ellen, is a parent, a working woman and trying to build a life of her own. This particular juggling act is ripe material for plenty of misadventures and humour. Meanwhile Simon, the children's father, is in a relationship with Marissa who is a 'very good person'. If you haven't already read Gill Sims book then my advice is to put your feet up, pour a glass of wine, start at the beginning and read them all, preferably after the children are in bed, or out depending on their age.
