Listen. I am nt a mother in any sort of capacity. I helped raise my siblings, but I niether have nor want kids. However. This is somehow one of the most relatable things I have ever read. Just from the sneak peak, I was absolutely hooked. The narrative flips nicely between the narrarator's inner thoughts and the actual events, you never get lost in backstory or wrapped up in the narrarator's head. The sense of character was very strong, and it was easy to tell what sort of person each character was, just from a few short interactions with our MC. This was also a pretty fast read, the pacing was masterful and really kept you moving along. I'm honestly pretty excited to read the rest of the book!
