An entertaining romp through the mind of a mother who is dealing with that lesser-known monster, the teenager.

Ellen has been a mummy for so long and seems a bit lost, as she navigates the college phase her moppets throw her new challenges. This book is relatable for all parents and the last in a series of books which has had parents laughing out loud and nodding in agreement at various quips. This instalment is no different, surely there has to be another book so we can see what’s next, come on Gill we are relying on you.

The joy of these books is that they aren’t smug mummy books, they are real and relatable and any parent of any age will find some joy in reading this book.

I especially liked the part about the ex husbands perfect girlfriend. The diary entry format works well and makes this book very real, although perhaps one or two of the entries were a little long.
