This book, I have to say isn't my style of genre. I'm not saying it is a bad book, I just didn't really like how this family was presented. We could definitely tell Mummy was having a hard time and it really is obvious why. But her being 'sloshed' isn't a good example to the kids. (Why on earth am I taking this so seriously?) But it definitely isn't a children's book and mothers should not follow this example. But other than that, she was really getting stressed out because of her children and I can't hep thinking what else could she have done about that? And did this ever end? What about Mummy's happily ever after? I can't imagine teenagers calling their mother 'Mummy' and why are they so dependent on her?
I wasn't too fond of this book and I couldn't bring myself to finish this book. But now that I look at it like this, just because I didn't enjoy the book doesn't mean others won't. So I won't tell you what to do.
