I didn't realise when I ordered this it was in a series. Sometimes, that causes a real issue with some authors and their books. However, this didn't matter with Gill Sims and Why Mummy’s Sloshed!
This book was funny and witty. Gill Sims captures the imagination and the reality of the world we live in!
At times I think I may have physically cried from laughing so much. The relationship between Ellen and her children I'm sure has some commonality with many families - with their constant put downs and her drinking to deal with it all.
Absolutely fantastic read and I think I will be looking out for Gill Sims books from now on. I have a vision of lying in the sun on holiday howling with laughter whilst reading another of her books. Obviously I have to wait until we're out of lockdown!! Maybe that will be the next book - Mum goes on holiday post pandemic!!!!
