Thank you to readers first and to Gill Sims for sending me a copy of this book to read and review. The book came with a lovely letter from Gill which made this review seem more personal. This book was so funny as usual and made me laugh throughout. I was invested in the storyline from the beginning. Jane is a typical spoiled teenager who gets her way all the time, Peter is such a boy and that little devil child Edward riled me up. I love that this book is set in 2020 (going by the tiger king reference) and it feels like an alternative, non COVID-19 universe where people can go to pubs and all meet in the same house and go to university.. oh god, 2020 why are you so weird?
I loved that Ellen and her husband rekindled their relationship and I enjoyed the ups and downs of that. The ending of the book was so sweet and I think every book should end with adopting a doggo!
