The title made me giggle as anyone with children knows that child rearing though rewarding is also deeply stressful. A feeling that does not go away as your child grow up and leave the nest as my own mother often reminds me.
Just from this extract I can see this book being utterly hilarious and a great pick me up if you’ve had a bad day and need a cheering up. The brutal honesty and just the outpouring of thoughts we may of had ourselves, maybe not thinking others feel the same is comforting and relieving.
Hearing her talk about her ex partner and his new girlfriend was also funny and especially is the case of Marissa we all know someone who is maybe too smug for their own good. The anecdotes reference her children were also eye watering as again those with children or have contact with children especially young children know the all out hilarity and panic they can bring as they have yet to develop fear.
