I have to admit that I have not read any of Gill Sims previous books and that while their content did appeal, the titles put me off.

I am so glad I read this one however as it had me laughing out loud. The story is so relatable, with all the challenges of motherhood and children growing up, having exams and moving out. I loved the part where Edward the toddler came to stay and ransacked the house.

While hysterically funny the book was also touching and had moments that were heartwarming or brought a tear to my eye.

I love the portrayal of Peter and Jane, who, are going through exams and dealing with their parents relationship changes.

This book was just what I needed to combat the stress and monotony of the real world right now. It should be prescribed to everyone. It is genuinely so funny my son came upstairs and told me to calm down as I was laughing so much!
