This book really transported me to the time when my own children were young. It's joyful to read and very funny!! It was a really quick read and just lifted my 'spirits', one I couldn't put down which even had laugh out loud moments.
I'm not familiar with other books in this series but from my own research, It seems this one is up there with the best.
I'm sure that the relationship between mother and children is one which many readers will relate to and one which is interesting to revisit when the actual pressures of the time have disappeared into rose-tinted memories of a bygone era. How many of us will end up reliving them through this book and remembering them with a fondness for times gone by or a rush to get another glass of wine!!
The writing style is one of an accomplished writer and flows easily and quickly from her pen like the wine into the glass - cheers!
