Ow wow loved this book, fourth in the series and it did not disappoint. This book follows single parent Ellen asks her two teenage children. One is about to take GCSEs and one is taking a levels. Ellen also has two dogs and three chickens and a great career. This book is a year in Ellen’s life trying to juggle life and having copious bottles of wine with friends and her ex husband. There are so many relatable bits in this book of typical family life with kids, there’s also lots of swearing and laugh out loud moments. Ellen’s character is clever and funny and she questions and overthinks absolutely everything. This book also brings a change in the way Ellens family treat Her as they are now getting older and it’s quite lovely to see the respect they have for her showing towards the end of the book, from son, daughter and her ex husband. But the journey to get to this point is truly hilarious.
