Why Mummy's Sloshed is the first book by Gill Sims that I have read. I don't believe I am quite the target demographic for the series, although I do enjoy the occasional Peter and Jane post on her Facebook page, but nonetheless I gave it a go to see what all the fuss is about. I found this to be an entertaining series of observations about modern life and parenthood written in an easy to pick up and jump in fashion. There are a lot of points which rang quite true to home about the challenges of parenting and I did find it relatable in some ways. I think this would be well liked by both mums and dads, and probably a fair amount of grandparents. Probably a decent gift for a secret Santa present if you want to avoid the usual tat! An easy funny read which appeals more widely than the cover would suggest. Thank you for my advance review copy Readers First!
