Gill Sims is a writer that can accomplish many things. She’s honest, real and incredibly funny. I also love how Mummy has grown over time too. We have been on this journey with her for years and she’s really come into her own.

In this book the kids are older, she’s divorced and a very handsome neighbour has just moved in. Numerous results days pass with her feeling more worried than the kids.

Simon is still around, despite the divorce but seems to have learnt a few lessons. He is at least helping and supporting now.

What I love about these books is how relatable they really are. We’ve all found ourselves in these kinds of situations. It also makes me appreciate my lovely parents more.

This book is perfect for anyone who wants a laugh and to escape their own lives to see how Mummy deals with it all. I promise you, if you read this book (as well as the other three) you won’t regret it.
