Wow- funny or what ! Not being a mum I wondered if reading this book was a step too far - something I wouldn't understand or relate to. But this wasn't the case. From the very beginning of this novel you get dragged into the story and understand Mummy. Not being able to visit the toilet in peace without some one shouting that they cannot find something when all along they haven't even looked for it. Some one shouting 'mum' when she wants a bit of peace and quiet. Some one always having something to complain about at meal times and not wanting to eat their vegetables. The children's constant bickering and generally picking arguements over nothing at all. It seems never ending !You would think these are small toddlers when in fact they are her older children - no wonder she turns to the drink ! The author has really thought about this book and describes things in detail to make you think you are sat in a corner of the room on a chair watching every event happen - really funny !
