Such a promising start, but as I got further into the story I just lost interest. There is a section where she meets a friend and they start chatting about the friends lack of sex life and it just goes on and on and on.....and that was quite early on in the book! I think maybe if I had the read the previous novels I might have had a better understanding of the characters involved and a better understanding of the style of writing the author has adopted.
So basically this is book is about a chapter of the characters life where she is a single parent, dealing with the daily stress of trying to parent/man manage her kids and also try and make sure that she keeps a grip on reality and has a life of her own. She has friends and neighbours that keep her (in) out of trouble and an ex that she has to face most weeks when he comes to collect the kids. Nothing special, sadly.
