The cover of this really caught my eye and the recommendations on the front by authors I like seemed to affirm that. I enjoyed the first few chapters however I felt there were references in the story which makes me assume the author has previously written about the character. This made me feel a bit of kilter and although I enjoyed what I read I felt like I’d need to research this and read the previous one first if that’s the case. Overall it was a promising start though
