The book starts off at a run with the central character, Robin, rushing in to work with her head spinning with a long to do list. The story is about a set of modern people, mostly women; following the ups and downs of their interconnected lives. I found the style of writing easy to read and the story funny and sad at the same time. The author cleverly describes Robin's daughter, who is endearing most of the time, but also embarrassing or irritating at times due to some typical very forthright comments. The plot eventually resolves to everyone's satisfaction and if you want a light hearted, up to date story then this is the book for you. An enjoyable read and I look forward to the next instalment.
