Well to start with, I do love louise pentland. It was a while since I had read her first novel Wilde like me so I had forgotten the ins and outs of it before going into this one.. I think it could be a good stand alone if someone didn’t want to read the series which is good. I found myself engrossed in the book and when it came to her unplanned pregnancy I was expecting fairy’s and cupcakes right to the end but it took a dark turn which is all too common and I think it was handled beautifully. I even liked that louise wrote a character who didn’t understand Robyns heart break and said the rude comments because people you love can be the most cruel so it was good to see that it wasn’t just support all round.

The book was funny and sad and heartbreaking and full of love all at the same time, it dealt with serious issues but turned them into every day life and has ensured I will pick up another louise pentland novel if she writes more!
