forgettable..
So I didn't love the first book, and honestly I dislike this one even more. It's not necessarily awful, but more that it is easily forgotten. It was a continuation from Pentland's debut and it did read a lot nicer - it didn't feel as choppy. Although, it did feel just as dull. Nothing major happens, like most chick-lit books.. but I just wasn't in the mood for a heartwarming book which meant that I wasn't at all invested in the characters.
One plus to this book was that it didn't feel as much like I was reading about Louise Pentland herself, and instead actually felt like the piece of fiction is was meant to be. However, I found the main character to be quite privileged and whiny, making her very unrelatable. It was also pretty predictable, but easy to read.
