Wilde About The Girl is the second ‘Robin Wilde’ instalment and I really liked it.
It’s a nice easy read, which, first off, made it a perfect read for me coming back off my holidays and being in that usual reading slump.
The storylines running throughout the book carried so much depth and I felt like Robin Wilde was just a friend talking to me and welcoming me back for this second dose of life’s ups and downs.
TW: There are some really hard hitting and harrowing topics raised (as in the first novel) such as infertility and miscarriage but I believe they were placed well in the novel and these are topics that need to be discussed more openly to raise understanding and awareness. They were put across incredibly well through Louise’s writing.
Overall I thought it was an interesting read, I was intrigued as to where the storyline was going and will honestly put it up there with the Bridget Jones novels! Because yes, Robin Wilde really is the modern day woman.
Plus I’m all for some women empowerment and of course honesty in that life is never as rosy as it seems, we all have to ride the lows and highs but that’s what makes life so very special.
