Lovely book and written well, I loved Louise's first book and couldn't wait for this one.Yet again some witty humour and real-life situations. I could totally feel the emotions of "the event". Now I'm left again waiting for the 3rd installment to this group of women.
A nice easy read to get stuck into, very relatable.
Pentland is one of my favourite Youtubers and her personality shines through in this book; the language is colloquial, chatty and warm and the overall tone of the book is 'cosy'. She promises funny anecdotes about a beautiful woman navigating single mum life, and she achieves this. The book reading like a chatty blog post in which the writer sets out to be best friends with the reader. The one thing I would say is that, ironically, although the book constantly emphasises that it's okay to look any way and life isn't all about physical appearances, Robin's constant descriptions of all the beautiful, skinny, not-a-hair-out-of-place woman around her does sort of contradict the message.
