Robin Wilde has pulled herself up out of "The Emptiness" and is acing life. Single motherhood is going great and she's loving her new role at work. Robin even has a wonderful new man in her life. However her best friend, Lacey, is heartbroken as she struggles to conceive and Auntie Kath seems lonely. Even Lyla is starting to adopt some horrible attitudes learnt from someone at her school. Robin juggles work dilemma's, family, friends and love. In the end Robin knows that she has her girls, and they all have her.

It's great to re-join our friend Robin Wilde and be back in her world. I immediately got drawn back into this story. I love how the author describes and explains past events (from the first book), so that if you were to read this book it also works as a standalone story. Not only does Robin have her own issues, with work and love, we are given more information about miscarriage and Lacey's struggle to conceive. The author handles these issues honestly and delicately. I also really liked the body positivity theme throughout and I feel Robin's character is developed well in this sequel. Again, the book is written in the authors signature writing style and was very easy to read.

From the cover alone I may not have picked this up off a shelf as it doesn't intrigue me or draw me in but it does suit the theme of the series. Despite some of the complex themes this didn't feel like a heavy read. Overall I would definitely recommend this book. The writing style was natural and another light-hearted read.
