This book is an easy read that you can curl up to and indulge into the characters. Its based around a single mum who explores her life by making various choices to make it better for herself and her child. Overall, the book is such an easy read because it addresses situations that commonly occur in everyday lives, which allowed Pentland to create empathy within the audience. This created a pure connection with the reader and the characters which allowed me to fall in love with this novel.
I also love this book due to its simple structure. Each chapter is titled as a month, which makes it very easy to understand how long the events carried out for and set out the story very nicely. To conclude: this book is definitely in my favourites!
