I am a big fan of Pentland's blog and YouTube videos, so I was escited to read this sample. I enjoyed the setting and the character, I feel like I got to know her just in those few pages. I think for someone who is a 'YouTuber writer' it was very interesting and different. I am a fan of contemporaries and I have read alot so it was surprising to read this and not feel like I was reaing a retelling of another story (so far!). I enjoyed reading it and think I would definitely pick it up, but it didn't captivate me as much as I might like. I thought the name and appearance of the character were introduced a bit too qickly and obviously. I love the cover though! It's very beautiful although it seems a little too different from the storyline, it would make me want to pick it out at a bookstore!
