I debated about buying Wilde like me for a long time, as much as I enjoyed watching Louise on youtube I just wasn’t sure, I will be honest, I did have that “oh another youtuber is releasing a book” thought.
But eventually I thought I would give it a go, I feel like Louise is a lot more relatable than other youtubers so I hoped that her writing would appeal to me.

And I have to admit that I was impressed with the novel- there were one or two typos here and there but it happens, hell I have uploaded blog posts and not realised there have been typos until it has been up for a few hours.

Robin was a very relatable character, sometimes a little “selfish” as she was dealing with her own problems and not always noticing that her friends were having problems at the same time. But by the end of the novel that definitely turns around.

I love that Louise didn’t shy away from writing about sex or swearing- don’t get me wrong I don’t think that all novels need to contain both, but given the plotline and genre it would have been a little strange to beat around the bush so to speak.

Louise wrote Robin and her life in a way that made it very easy to put yourself in that position, I do wonder if some of the interactions between Robin and Lyla have been based off Louise’s relationship with her own daughter Darcy.

I have to say I hope Louise didn’t have to suffer through a worm like Theo before she found Liam, and well I am hoping Robin finds her own Liam soon, or maybe she has in the sequel, looks like I’ll be purchasing that soon because I feel quite invested in Robins life now and I would like to know what the future holds for her.

“I took a deep breath. I was exactly where I was meant to be, with exactly who I was meant to be with.”

If like me you were second guessing this book because it’s a “youtuber book” then throw that thought out of your mind right now, I wish I had picked this up much sooner.
