This contemporary trilogy follows Robin, a single mother, struggling with many different aspects of her life which I became so invested in immediately.
I read this book after watching Louise on youtube for years and it was so much better than my high expectations! I loved seeing the focus on her job as I have always had an interest in make up artists and the expectations and stress the job could bring. I also really enjoyed seeing her relationship with both her daughter and how she wrote truthfully about both the positive aspects of her relationship but also the issues and hardship faced as a single mother which I really appreciated and made me appreciate the struggles of motherhood even more. The focus on her mental health and the issues she was facing was also an interesting and honest aspect that I appreciated as well as the brutal reality of the awkward struggle dating can bring and the joys as well.
