An unexpected new love of mine. I wasn't sure this was a book I'd want to read but upon receiving it as a gift, I figured I'd give it a go and I am really glad I did. Louise's writing style isn't as refined as some other authors and her story was a bit choppy in places but for a first time novel, this is understandable. From the very first page, Louise had me rooting for the main character, something not many books do. She had me laughing and crying alongside Robin Wilde as she goes through her life struggling in ways many of us will find relatable. The tale of a woman going from strength to strength alongside her little girl, is a heart warming one. It will have you smiling at each page whilst also having you feel for the characters. It was quick read but enjoyable. The only downside to the book would be one that you may experience if you have followed Louise on youtube and that is that I couldn't help but see Robin and Lyla as Louise and her little girl as there are some obvious similiarties. Overall, it has left me wanting for a second book and rooting for Robin.
