I wasn't sure if I would enjoy this book considering there was quite a hype surrounding it, however, I was pleasantly surprised. The fact that this is the author's debut book makes me like it even more.

It's one of those books where you can relate and understand the struggles of the main character, even if your life is nothing like hers, in the sense that you just get sucked into her inner monologue and thought process. Some parts made me laugh, others made my heart ache - it felt so realistic.

I also love that the author is British. It was such an enjoyable read, and has made me definitely want to pick up the author's other work. Although, I do think that prior knowledge of the author slightly ruined it as a piece of fiction because I had a hard time forgetting that it wasn't about the author's life.
