I enjoyed this book for what it was as a quick and easy read, but the overall execution definitely leaves something to be desired.

In this book Louise Pentland brings to life a characters with a not insignificant amount of parallels to herself- Robin Wilde. Robin is a single mum who we meet at a tough time for her, but over the course of this book, and eventually the rest of the series, we see her overcome her struggles and really come into her own, she is a great character to root for!

I can see how this might be great for a specific audience, but for me the writing in general wasn't done very well, with very cheesy and unrealistic speech, and a lot of clumsy time jumps particularly to avoid certain scenes of tension and action. but I did overall enjoy the plot, and wasn't bored at any point. I still enjoyed my time reading, and will definitely be picking up the sequels!
