Had me in stitches and left me in tears; Wilde like me is a fantastic read and one I would recommend to anyone needing a pick-me-up.
The raw emotion that in conveyed through our protagonist 'Robin's' inner dialogue is truly amazing. Despite not having the same sort of life as Robin, I am still able to relate to her struggles, and feelings of 'emptiness' that consume her on a daily basis.
Though much of the start of the novella focuses on her need to get out of her 'rut' the humour and light-heartedness of the story makes it worth the read. Its as if you're going through this difficult journey with her, only to see her succeed at the other end.
Reading this book its clear to see why people raved about it when it was first published; the author has a lovely way of making you feel at home within her story and this urges you to cheer on the main character and will her to succeed.
