OK I've given this four stars, despite knowing I'd never want to read this book. I get a strong impression that this book is aimed a YA at best, but it is dealing with a serious topic in a light-hearted tone that doesn't minimalise or trivialise the fact the some children get cancer.
I could see how this book could be enjoyable to some people/kids, and also a comfort to others perhaps, and I think the author has set a very good tone for this novel, along with it being very believable.
