The cover of the book was very eye-catching with the striking orange colour and big eye. The simplicity of the design would definitely stand out to me in a book store prompting me to pick it up.
After reading the preview and sample, I feel that Harrell has completely captured a young teen's experience with eye cancer (a subject that is always difficult to write about). I really feel for his situation making me want to read on further. The combination of an easily accessible writing style and humorous illustrations drew me in quickly.
