I really like the premise of this book. It reminds me a little of Wonder because of it's factual elements and the realism of being a young person with a medical 'issue'. I think it's great that this book will appeal to younger children and teach them about the realism of life and how to deal with medical hardships. The diagrams really aid the narrative and I find them the necessary snippets of fun that are needed for such a hard-hitting situation. The front cover is particularly great. It's fun and attractive and I would definitely pick it up if I saw it in a bookstore!
