I thought the cover was fun, considering the tough subject matter. Books featuring illness, always work better when the author has personal experience of it, and it looks like he has a great positive outlook on life, just from reading the extract and seeing the cover.
I like the little illustrations in the book, I think it helps to engage with the character and imagine what they're seeing.
Looks like it would be a great YA book to help with those who may feel a bit 'different' to their peers, or for young people to empathise with those who may be having a tough time. Looks like a great read.
