What a tender subject to write on!! I'm unfamiliar with American schooling, so unsure how old Ross would be, but I am placing him at 13/14.
Cancer is a massive subject to tackle and the authenticity seeps from the pages, from the author's own experience of this harrowing disease.
The illustrations just add to the innocence of Ross and create a heartbreaking atmosphere.
