A MUST READ FOR ANY AGE!!
Wink Book Review
Firstly thank you to Readers First and Rob Harris for allowing me to read this book before publication date (31 March 2020) in exchange for an honest review.
The story is about twelve year old Ross Maloy who devastatingly got diagnosed with a rare form of eye cancer, he just wants to be normal not the “cancer kid”.
Now I usually don’t go for books with subjects like this but the cover drew me to it and once I read the first look through readers first I was hooked especially with BatPig!
I’m an adult and I enjoyed it thoroughly I think this book is for all ages not just for kids but I do think all kids should mandatory read it to understand different situations and how to handle them!
This book was heartbreakingly honest, and hilarious - never thought I would say that about a book about cancer but it was truly funny!
I think the best thing about the book is that it was based upon the authors true actions as he was diagnosed with eye cancer, to show you how the affects of cancer truly is mentally and physically.
