This is a really great book. I think it's aimed at young teenagers but adults will enjoy it too. Wink tells the story of a boy who gets a rare form of eye cancer and undergoes treatment whilst still attending secondary school. This book is easy to read and compelling. I read it in a couple of days. The medical information seems accurate but is not described in too much detail, which is good. Reading this book helps you to understand a little about what it is like to be a young person with cancer. I would recommend young people read this to help them show more empathy to others, as well as reading it for enjoyment. The story covers lots of issues relevant to young teenagers in addition to cancer and contains positive messages. I was really looking forwards to reading this book and was no disappointed!
