This book is so easy to read. It covers the usual childhood/early teenage issues with school, fashion, identity and relationships.

However it also covers childhood cancer. It is at times (very few) a bit emotional and so some sensitive kids may need to be prepared but largely it deals with these huge topics in a very lighthearted but realistic way. It strikes a good balance between realism and lightheartedness.

The book looks at how different people react differently to cancer and how it can be hard for friends as well as those with it.

The characters are very relatable and you feel a mix of emotions as they all struggle to find their new normal.

The cartoons are great and add a fun element to the book which helps it deal with difficult issues.

I would recommend this as a great book and particularly so for anyone facing cancer or a friend having cancer.
