I think Rob Harrell has got this book just right; the perfect combination of seriousness with touches of humour along the way.

Ross, the main character, is having to deal with all the usual teenage stuff when he then finds out he had a very rare cancer that is going to leave him blind in one eye. Harrell explains this all perfectly in the book, getting the combination of both sadness and funniness just right.

I found this book really endearing, and felt so much for Ross throughout the book. It’s definitely a book you don’t want to put down once you start and I think most teenagers would love it and empathise with it.
This book is so well written and really hits the nail on the head. It had me laughing along at times, completely shocked and also a bit teary too.
