Wink is a semi-autobiographical novel about a boy names Ross who gets diagnosed with an extremely rare cancer in his eye. It follows his journey of being in school and trying to come to terms with his diagnosis.
I loved reading this, it's a honest and sometimes funny read. I love how its not a full on serious story of cancer but has funny, touching moments. Its a book aimed at young teens or anyone young who has had cancer or has family or friends with cancer.
I loved the little drawings and comic strips that are dotted throughout the book, its a great little addition to read along side. I love the cover, its very bright and bold and would certainly stand out on the shelf in stores.
