This was such a good read, ostensibly aimed at a teen audience I think this crosses boundaries and is relevant to any reader, even adults.
Ross Malory is diagnosed with a rare eye cancer where its certain that he will definitely lose his sight due to the aggressive nature and speed of its advancement.
Terrified he is offered a less invasive form of treatment.
So the reader begins the long journey of Malory through the period of diagnosis and coming to terms with his condition, life at home, at school and socially how his peers relate to him at this time.
Based on the author's personal experiences of being diagnosed with this form of cancer as an adult it's a clever novel written from the point of view of a child living with this awful disease.
Inspirational and at times very humorous this was just an all round great read and and surprisingly a feel good, uplifting story.
