Personally I’d consider this book a must-read. It’s suitable for a young audience and discusses a topic that is important.
Something I really liked is how it tackled the way people view others. The other characters show pity towards our main character (Ross) and he hates it. And I find this to be important. We learn a lot about Ross through the way he reacts to others reactions to him.
The author also writes young teenagers (Older children? I can’t quite remember their ages) well. The way phones and social media are used in this book feel quite natural, and not like it was written by someone who doesn’t understand them. I really like how this actually affected the story, so it is important that it is set in the current era.
The Batpig comics and other drawings were a lovely addition and helped show how Ross felt about the situations he was in.
