I highly recommend Wink by Rob Harrell, it is a semi autobiographical book about teenager Ross, who is diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer above his eye.
I love the cover its bright, eye catching and fun.
The book takes you on a often comical journey through his treatment and navigating his way through normal teenage life while being known as the 'cancer kid' illustrated with comic strips about the heroic BatPig... You'll have to read the book to find out more.
This book is more in the young adult genre, however I feel that at any age you will enjoy finding out about Ross and his journey.
