Initially was thinking that this was just a children's story and for an audience tounger than me, It proved to be surprisingly deep, touching and insightful into Ross story of living with cancer despite

It is well written from someone who has experienced this and lived the parallels. At some points the comics seem slightly out of place but they are a part of the story too and really completes the story for Ross.

I enjoyed the un-cliché-ness of the characters contrasted against their stereotypical roles. At times Ross seems pretty childish but at the same time he is year 7 and trying to deal with being a teenager at the same time. The ending was fitting if not a little unsatisfying.

I was surprised to enjoy it as much as I did and while the target audience is definitely school children, I think anyone could read this although not everyone will appreciate the cartoons.
