Laughter, love and good tunes.
I am way beyond the target audience for this in terms of age but that didn’t prevent me from enjoying it tremendously.
Perhaps “enjoying” is an odd word to use for a book about cancer, but it’s also about “music, friends [and, of course] Batpig”. The word is also a testament to the author who has written an enjoyable book about a difficult subject.
There are few people whose lives haven’t been touched by cancer in one way or another and, in many ways, I feel this book could resonate across several generations of readers. It also offers a perspective on life that is valid with or without cancer rearing it’s ugly head.
Personally, I especially appreciated the Batpig cartoons. I rear pigs myself and I am now speculating what they would look with the famous mask and cape.
I would recommend this to readers of all ages.
Thank you to Readers First, Hot Key Books and Rob Harrell for the ARC in return for my honest review.
