This book is really well written, it covers a difficult subject with empathy and humour. It is about a boy who gets diagnosed with cancer and takes you through his experiences. It gives an insight into dealing with illness especially as a young person and the emotions that the whole experience can provoke. I honestly think that this book should be part of the curriculum in secondary schools so to introduce teenagers in a gentle way to how their peers may be feeling. Because Ross the main character is an artist there are some pictures which add to the story too. Wink is an easy read which I thoroughly enjoyed and I would rate it 5 out of 5. I will be encouraging my teenage daughters to read it now.
