The struggles one has with an early pregnancy and the pressures of being a mother can take its tole on anyone, never mind someone so young. Having to raise a child and care for an elderly relative can be tough. It leaves you feeling like you have missed out on your life, your childhood. The passion and joy cooking brings to the character fills her with both joy for a future doing something she loves and sorrow as she grieves the loss of her future before it even begins. As the pressures of family commitments take its tole, a persons dreams get pushed aside.
I can relate to this charterer on many levels, having struggled with family commitments, being a young mother all while trying to develop a career and struggling to find them self's, to discover who they really are as a person,not just the roles they undertake.
I would welcome the opportunity to review this novel, I can relate to the character and her passion for cooking, my husband is a chef, so we are always playing in the kitchen.
