AHHH I love Amani so much already! She seems like a strong and loving character, and real as well. Her passion for cooking makes me feel SO warm inside and I enjoy her narrative so much. The chapters are short and easy to read, and I just felt so engaged with her entire life very quickly. I can already tell the theme of family is really strong and that's something I LOVE to read in books, as someone with a large family myself! I haven't read many books about teen-pregnancies but I think this book is already handling the topic so well! Amani seems like such a sweet, loving mother and I'm so excited to see what path the story takes!
