I've Heard A Lot Of Good Things About This Novel

The main reason that I decided to check this book's 'First Look' out was because I've already heard a lot of good things about this novel so I was rather intrigued. The cover is beautiful and very eye-catching and what I've read so far definitely proved to be a promising start. Already I feel like I've got a real sense of the personality of Emoni thanks to the writing style which has a real sense of character and unique voice to it. This feels like it will be an emotional, heartwarming book to read. One thing that I really liked were the chapters that broke up the present and instead provided background detail such as Emoni's choice of baby name and her first cooking experience. I also loved that it started with a recipe and thought it was a really nice unexpected touch.
